Elisa Point is a Parisian cult figure.
As a songwriter, her pen is sharp and edgy, her poetry is cruel yet delicate.
As a singer, she sounds like Brigitte Bardot with the musicality of Blossom Dearie.
After collaborating with Christophe, the french Alan Vega, she now joins forces with Jacques Duvall.
Jacques Duvall is known as a sarcastic tunesmith for several french pop stars.
His first claim to fame was “Banana Split”, a worldwide hit for sweet sixteen Lio, in 1979.
But he had been writing songs since the mid-seventies for french underground diva Marie France and for The Runaways, Joan Jett’s all-female rock’n’roll band.
He then succeeded Serge Gainsbourg as lyricist for Alain Chamfort, the french Burt Bacharach.
Other collaborations followed, with among others Jane Birkin, Etienne Daho, Sparks, Telex.
Elisa and Jacques describe their work as “music for retired porn stars, lost adolescents, lesbian vampires and lonely ageing ladies”.
